What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files that web servers typically send to users’ computers when they visit a website. Cookies can be read or edited when the user loads a website or advertisement from the domain that wrote the cookie in the first place. The following lists a few uses of cookies:

  • Cookies can be used by companies to collect and send information about a user’s visit – for example, the number of visits to the application, average time spent, pages viewed, navigation history through the website, and other statistics. This information can be used to improve a user’s online experience by saving passwords or allowing companies to track and improve website loading times, for instance.
  • Cookies can also be used to track a user’s browsing or online purchasing habits and to target advertisements to specific users.
  • Cookies can be used on mobile applications as well. However, note that Cookies cannot be used to access any other data on a user’s mobile device, to personally identify them, or to act like malware or a virus.

Users who prefer not to accept cookies on the web can set their Internet browser to notify them when they receive a cookie or to prevent cookies from being placed on their hard drive. You can read more about cookies at http://www.allaboutcookies.org/cookies/.

What cookies do we use?

Below we list the different types of cookies that may be used on the Site. To the extent any Personal Information is collected through cookies, the Privacy Policy https://avaamo.ai/privacy/ applies and compliments this Cookies Policy.

The Site uses both 1st party cookies (which are set by the Site being visited) and 3rd party cookies (which are set by a server located outside the domain of the Site).

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies enable you to navigate the Site and to use its services and features. Without these absolutely necessary cookies, the Site will not perform as smoothly for you as we would like it to and we may not be able to provide the Site or certain services or features.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies collect information about your use of the Site and enable us to improve the way it works. For example, analytics cookies show us which are the most frequently visited pages on the Site, help us record any difficulties you have with the Site, and show us whether our advertising is effective or not. This allows us to see the overall patterns of usage on the Site, rather than the usage of a single person. We use the information to analyze the Site traffic, but we do not examine this information for individually identifying information.

Category: Necessary (4)

Necessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.

How long do cookies stay on my device?

Some Cookies operate from the time you visit a Site until the end of that particular browsing session. These “session” Cookies expire and are automatically deleted when you close your Internet browser.

Some Cookies stay on your device between browsing sessions—these “persistent” Cookies do not expire when you close your browser. The length of time a persistent Cookie stays on your device varies from Cookie to Cookie.

How can you manage cookies?

In addition to the options provided above, you may refuse or accept cookies from the Site at any time by activating settings on your browser. Information about the procedure to follow in order to enable or disable cookies can be found on your Internet browser provider’s website via your help screen. You may wish to refer to http://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/ for information on commonly used browsers. Please be aware that if cookies are disabled, not all features of the Site may operate as intended.

You can adjust your cookie preferences by adjusting your browser so that it notifies you when cookies are sent to it or you can refuse cookies altogether. The Help function within your browser should explain how to do this. Alternatively, you may visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org to obtain detailed information on how to prevent cookies from being set on your particular browser.
